A Thankful Quick Update

Expect some new experiments from me
4

Hi folks, and welcome to the latest edition of the newsletter. I thought I would try something a little different and give a video message along with the text message,

I just want to say how thankful I am that you all keep reading the newsletter, you keep reading the blog post on my website, and you keep reaching out to me — even in social media. So, however you connect, I am grateful for that.

I also wanted to let you know that I am working more with Modus Institute, that's Jim Benson and Tonianne DeMaria’s website for learning a wide variety topics. I've been impressed with their work and we've known each other for several years. We decided to collaborate more together because as many of you know I like to collaborate! So I couldn't resist the opportunity to work with them.

As a matter of fact Jim and I are rebuilding his distributed team's course. It's going to combine parts of the book that Johanna Rothman and I wrote (From Chaos to Successful Distributed Agile Teams). It's also going to combine parts of Jim's book (The Collaboration Equation) that came out just earlier this year, and it's going to have a few new things as we think about what are the impacts of asynchronous work and going back to the office. We're also going to add some interviews there that allow people to provide their perspectives.

There is a special deep discount right now on the distributed teams course and just making that known to a few folks — especially you folks. I hope you join us there.

Other than that, I want to let you know I'm going to be doing a few more experiments. As you can see (in the video), I'm rebuilding my video studio, playing with lighting, things like that, so that I can better communicate with you in different ways.

Text is great. I love writing. I'm going to be doing more of that. But I also want to provide some different ways of learning because it helps all of us. It helps you. It helps me, and hopefully, it will help others.

Again, I just want to say thanks for continuing to read and connect and reach out, and I'll be sharing more things here in the coming weeks. Thanks!
